The last Showa volume will be published Dec 26th. There's a bunch of events to commemorate the Showa conclusion (book signing with Kuwabara etc). Next issue of Cobalt will have some specials as well. Kuwabara says this will conclude the whole MoB series.

Oh my God !
Please tell me that you make the summary when it will be out even if it's in Russian ! *. *
Thank you for sharing the news though they are sad ones.
Now I'm regretting my bad timing - I was just in Japan for work and will go back in January, but probably after the events are over. Would have been nice to try to get a sign and thank sensei for her amazing work.
Oh my gosh, can't wait to read it!
The cover is absolutely stunning! I love the details, for example, like how Kagetora is keeping his hand on his stomach...
Thank you for sharing this. :)
I agree the cover is beautiful. It evokes blood, which, sadly, seems very appropriate.
It evokes Minako in ethereal form of Higanbana flowers. That was her thing :)

I've gotten so used to seeing one or more ongoing MoB prequel series that I feel kind of sad this will be the last Mirage novel. I really hope the story will remain active in other formats, like how we currently have the Showa plays. I wish they'd continue with the Cobalt audio dramas though... I think the last one was in 2013.

Has Sensei said she's not going to write any more MoB (at least in the foreseeable future)? I would certainly understand if she wants to move on after almost 30 years (!!) in this universe, but there's a whole lot of other stories that could be told in terms of prequels--or sequels. I know she's done other series, but she reminds me a little of Tolkien in that her corpus is so strongly dominated by developing this one universe, and that's not a bad thing at all; that's a very worthwhile thing to be remembered for.
Yes, she said so repeatedly. Mirage as a series is over, but we can still hope for (I think) some occasional short stories...

I'm hoping with you, then, that it lives on in other forms.
