One thing I lament about the demise of LiveJournal is that nothing has quite taken its place as a medium for bringing fans together in loose, permeable groups where one can easily move from personal journals to specific fandom communities (Mirage, for example) to general fannish communities (BL, for example). I've been feeling loss with these forums because--deep though the Mirage love runs--it sometimes feels odd to not be able to share other thoughts, fandom recs, etc. with you all. You all are amazing people, and I expect we generally share fandom and other interests outside of Mirage. So I'm hoping this will be a place where we can bring some of that type of conversation.
